So Belley girl and I went out for the day, and the first place we went was Providence Place. I needed a new St. Tropez tanning mitt, so I figured I’d walk her around the mall and just get out for a bit. Of course they didn’t have any mitts left at Sephora, yet I still walked out with a few bags of stuff! It cannot be helped.. I try to tell the hubs this all the time.
I figured I’d share with you all the things I purched as I open them! Hope its as fun for you as it is for me <3
So the three stops I made were Sephora, Nordstrom’s MAC counter, and Francesca’s. I’m on a clothes buying hold for a few more months while I’m trying to lose the baby weight, so these are my typical stops. I mean, I can’t stop shopping all together. That would be crazy!
These are all the make up items I purchased. It doesn’t look like a lot, but psh. Tell that to my wallet. I mean John’s wallet..haha.
I got these earrings and necklaces from Francescas! I’m loving the dainty gold accents especially for summer. Plus they were having a BOGO 50% off for all jewelry items. I think everything cost me $45.00. Can’t get much better than that! I’m not sure if it’s in every store or online, but it’s worth checking out here.
And here is my little MAC purchase. I just downloaded my application for my M.A.C. Pro card, so I went easy. I had more empties for back to MAC so I did get one of the lippies for free. My list of wants from MAC is getting long. I’m sending in my application tomorrow…if it gets approved I’m going on a binge for my kit. Fingers crossed!
Here is everything minus the mascara, swatched. The assistant manager at my Nordstrom MAC is great and we chat every time I’m there. She gave me the mascara samples along with a ton of other samples. I love it!
The lippies are swatched backwards in the picture below – sorry I’m not sure why I did that!! I’m dying over the Lady Danger Color. It really reminds of of Stila’s liquid lipstick in Carina, except it is a lot more wearable. I’m not usually an orangey red girl, but I cannot wait to wear this lipstick! Peach Blossom is probably the most wearable of the three mostly because it is a Cremesheen. It is not long wearing but it is moisturizing and pretty sheer. I usually go for the satin or the matte finishes, but it was too pretty to pass up! The Oak and Redd lip pencils are pretty neutral and basic. The oak is a nice brown Kylie Jenner color, and the Redd is more of an orange red color than Ruby Woo or Cherry, for example. I can never get enough MAC lip products.. we all know that by now!
And last, but certainly not least this was what I got from Sephora. Most of this is restocking, with the exception of the Kat Von D – shade + light palette. I need another contour palette like I need a whole in the head but I was watching Nicole Guerriero’s latest video – I linked it for you – and I said ugh let me just go swatch it because her contour and skin look gorgeous. I should not have done that because I immediately thought “I need this”. The powders are SO buttery and easy to blend. I might even like it better than my Too Faced Cocoa Contour Palette…but its too early to confirm that. I’ll let you know. The colors are ALL usable, and not golden. It is amazing.
I did not swatch the contour palette, but let me know if you want a contour tutorial. It was difficult to get a good picture of the color payoff and I wanted to do it justice. From the left to right, is the Urban Decay Concealer, First Aid Repair Cream (great for eczema and dry patches and does NOT break out your face at all), The Shade + Light Contour palette, The Smashbox Studio Skin Foundation and than the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz. The foundation, brow wiz, First Aid Beauty repair cream and concealer are all repurchases – but in different colors. I need different (notice I say need?) for when I’m self tanned or not. And I can never have enough brow wiz’s because I use them on the daily.
Also, I know the concealer looks dark – BUT little tip for you guys. Lighter concealer does NOT cover discoloration and dark under eyes. You can use pink or green concealer under your foundation, but a concealer a little bit darker than your skin tone will work just as well. I find this a better option, because I can get use out of this, or throw it in my kit if I’m doing a client. I tend to let the colored concealers sit there, so they are a waste of my money. After you finish your foundation, if you still want to highlight underneath your eyes you can – and it looks much better with the purple covered. You’re welcome.
Well thats all I have for you guys!! I’ve linked everything for you, as use. See ya soon and thanks for reading <3.
